How it works
Laminar means the air moves in parallel, unmixed layers. That only holds if the velocity is uniform across the whole filter face — which is what the diffuser screen is really for.
Room air is taken in from the top of the cabinet through washable HDPE media in an FRP PU or SS 304 frame.
An AAF India supply filter, 99.999% at 0.3 µm to IEST-RP-CC002.4, with air spread evenly across its face.
Protects the HEPA face and holds airflow velocity uniform. Easy disassembly for access through a small door.
Stainless steel 304 side panels and a front sliding sash confine the work area, with room for hands to move.
A Minihelic pressure gauge — Dwyer or Aerosense make — is fitted as standard, so the condition of the filter is something you read, not something you guess at.
A vertical laminar air flow cabinet gives product protection. Filtered air flows down over the work area, so what you are handling is kept in clean air. That is what it is for, and it is what this cabinet does to ISO 14644-1 Class 5.
It is not a biosafety cabinet. It does not protect the operator from what is on the bench, so it is the wrong choice for infectious material or anything hazardous to the person working at it. If that is your application, say so when you call and we will tell you plainly that you need a different machine.
